India’s deep‑tech alliance gets US$850 m boost as Nvidia and Qualcomm join with big commitments.
The India Deep‑Tech Alliance, launched in September with a US$1 billion commitment, has secured more than US$850 million in new capital pledges as corporate heavyweights Nvidia and Qualcomm join the initiative.
The group will focus on early‑stage startups in space, semiconductors, AI and robotics over the next five to ten years. Although deep‑tech funding in India rose 78% to US$1.6 billion last year, it still made up only a fifth of total start‑up capital.
The alliance aims to close that gap and accelerate high‑end innovation.
