Nvidia unveils Nemotron 3, signaling a deeper push into open AI models

Nvidia has expanded its open source AI strategy with the launch of Nemotron 3, a new family of large language models aimed at building and deploying agentic AI systems. Released in Nano, Super, and Ultra variants, the models range from 30 billion to 500 billion parameters, targeting tasks from focused workloads to complex multi agent applications. Nvidia has distinguished Nemotron 3 by openly publishing training data, weights, and recipes, offering rare transparency among major AI players.

Agentic AI is rapidly shifting from experimentation to production, with enterprises beginning to deploy autonomous systems at scale. AWS’s new AgentCore platform is gaining traction as organizations adopt multi agent architectures to automate complex workflows, while companies like Capital One are already using these systems in live environments. A new category of so called frontier agents is emerging, capable of operating autonomously for extended periods by building internal world models of codebases and business processes.
