EPFO clarified that recent PF passbook delays are due to system upgrades and listed multiple online and offline options for members to check balances and account details.
Provident fund subscribers have flagged missing EPF passbook entries for September and October, prompting clarification from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation. EPFO said the delay is due to the rollout of a revamped Electronic Challan cum Return ledger system and assured members that updates are in progress. Meanwhile, members can check balances through the EPFO member portal, the new Passbook Lite feature, the UMANG app, missed call service, and SMS facility.
