Sharp correction hits HCC stock despite company clarification on unusual trading activity

Selling pressure intensified on Hindustan Construction Company shares as the small cap stock extended its losing streak for the fourth consecutive session. The stock closed 7.58 percent lower at Rs 18.42 on December 8 after witnessing an intraday fall of nearly 11 percent. Since December 3, HCC has declined over 20 percent, even after the company clarified that the earlier surge in trading volume was purely market-driven and not linked to any undisclosed developments.
