Lumen is replacing CTO David Ward with board member James Fowler, effective January 5, 2026, following Ward’s move to Salesforce.
Lumen Technologies said that David Ward, EVP and Chief Technology & Product Officer, has resigned to join Salesforce, Inc. as President and Chief Architect. He will step down on January 5, 2026, while continuing to support transition until January 23. The board appointed James Fowler, a current director, as his successor effective January 5, 2026. Fowler resigned from the board to assume the new executive role.
