Reliance Power reports profit decline as costs rise in Q2FY26
Reliance Power’s Q2FY26 profit fell 23% to ₹846.
Reliance Power posted a consolidated net profit of ₹846.9 million for Q2FY26, down from ₹1.1 billion a year earlier. Revenue, however, rose 6% year-on-year to ₹18.4 billion, while EBITDA improved to ₹4.3 billion. The decline in profit was attributed to higher fuel expenses and one-off maintenance costs. The company’s operating margin stood at 23.4%, up slightly from last quarter.

Management said focus remains on debt reduction and optimizing capacity utilization at Sasan and Butibori plants. Shares were marginally lower post results.
