Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a state-of-the-art titanium and superalloy manufacturing facility at PTC Industries in Lucknow, advancing India’s goal of full defence self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission. The plant will produce critical materials used in aircraft engines, submarines, and missile systems. Singh said this initiative reduces India’s dependence on imported rare-earth materials and strengthens indigenous supply chains. The facility’s launch marks a milestone in defence manufacturing capacity and advanced materials technology within India’s strategic sector.
