Karnataka launches a ₹518 crore startup policy to fund 25,000 new ventures and boost deep-tech cluster expansion.
The state government of Karnataka has approved its Startup Policy 2025-2030 with a budget of ₹518 crore (approx US$64 million) aimed at supporting 25,000 new startups, including 10,000 outside Bengaluru in hubs such as Mysuru, Hubballi and Mangaluru. The policy emphasises emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, blockchain, quantum computing and cleantech.
Karnataka, home to 18,000 DPIIT-recognised startups and nearly half of India’s unicorns, now seeks to deepen its innovation ecosystem through infrastructure, mentorship, market-linkage and global alliances across 30+ countries.
