Karnataka green-lights a ₹518 cr startup push targeting 25,000 ventures and focusing on deep-tech, beyond Bengaluru.
The Karnataka state cabinet approved a new Startup Policy (2025-30) with an outlay of ₹518 crore aimed at creating 25,000 startups, including 10,000 located outside Bengaluru such as in Mysuru, Hubballi and Mangaluru.
The policy emphasises deep-tech segments - AI, blockchain, quantum - backed by infrastructure, incubation, mentorship and global alliances.
Karnataka already houses over 18,000 registered startups and ~50 of India’s 118 unicorns.
