Hyderabad-based startup Cosmoserve Space has raised US$3.17 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Alan Rutledge and backed by AUM Ventures and Shakti VC. The company is developing autonomous robotic spacecraft to remove orbital debris (active debris removal) and provide on-orbit servicing to non-operational satellites. Funds will be used to build demonstration systems and secure commercial contracts for debris-mitigation services, positioning the firm in the global space-services market.
