AI-startup Poolside in talks for US$1 billion investment from Nvidia Corporation

AI company Poolside, which works on large-scale foundation models for government and defence applications, is reportedly in talks with Nvidia Corporation for a US$1 billion investment, according to Bloomberg-cited sources. Poolside is also looking to raise a US$2 billion funding round at a pre-money valuation of about US$12 billion. The potential Nvidia backing would give Poolside access to GPU architecture and infrastructure partnerships, while the large round signals heightened investor appetite for frontier-AI startups capable of addressing defence and sovereign-technology markets.
