Taiwan kicks off a startup-focused platform “Asia Innovation Capital” with 13 measures to attract global tech firms and bolster its AI/semiconductor role.
Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) on October 21 launched the “Asia Innovation Capital” project aimed at positioning Taiwan as a major startup hub in Asia. The initiative includes 13 measures such as easing listing rules for foreign companies, enabling dual-listing of foreign-currency bonds and relaxing operational requirements for overseas firms. The FSC emphasised the semiconductor supply chain and AI ecosystem will be central to the platform’s ambition. Local media say this move signals Taiwan’s intent to support high-growth tech & AI startups and improve access to capital markets.
