India equity-fund assets cross ₹50.83 lakh crore as SIP flows pick up pace

India’s equity-oriented mutual-fund AUM broke ₹50.
The Indian equity-oriented mutual-fund industry’s assets under management (AUM) have surpassed ₹50.83 lakh crore as of early November 2025, driven by increased systematic investment plan (SIP) flows which rose from around ₹8,500 crore in March 2020 to about ₹29,361 crore by September 2025. Retail participation, digital access and broader product choices are cited as key enablers of this growth. Fund houses are also promoting passive and hybrid schemes amid evolving investor preferences. Analysts caution that sustained performance and managing large-cap valuations will be critical going forward.
