Equity mutual fund inflows drop 22 percent to Rs 33,430 crore in August

In August 2025, net inflows into Indian equity mutual funds declined by approximately 22 % month-on-month to around ₹33,430 crore, according to data from Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). The fall was attributed to subdued new fund offers (NFOs) and growing valuation concerns. Despite the drop, this marked the 54th consecutive month of positive net inflows. Mid-cap funds recorded modest gains, while large-cap and small-cap funds saw reduced participation, pointing to a cautious shift in investor focus.
