Evening bullion cues remain firm as gold steadies and silver outperforms in northern cities

Gold steadied across northern metros while silver outperformed, supported by firm COMEX cues and improving regional wholesale demand.
Northern metros recorded firm evening cues, with Dehradun quoting 24-carat gold around ₹12,860 per gram and Jammu trading near ₹12,845. Amritsar witnessed modest demand, while Ludhiana jewellers reported consistent restocking ahead of weekend footfall. Silver outperformed gold across these cities, with prices ranging from ₹1,72,800 to ₹1,74,200 per kg. Analysts said improving COMEX silver sentiment and lower dollar volatility contributed to the positive bias.
Traders added that steady inflows from wholesalers supported the region’s evening momentum.
