Indian equities rise on hopes of US shutdown resolution

Indian equity benchmarks opened higher on Monday as optimism grew over a potential end to the U.S. government shutdown. The Nifty 50 climbed 0.32% to 25,573.95 and the BSE Sensex rose 0.31% to 83,472.41 by 9:48 a.m. IST. Analysts noted that easing fiscal-policy uncertainty in the U.S. and strong post-earnings stock-specific rallies underpinned sentiment, but highlighted that consolidation may persist after recent gains. 

Foreign-investor flows and domestic earnings remain key for near-term direction.
