Foreign investors dump record ₩7.26 trn in KOSPI amid AI-bubble concerns
South Korea’s KOSPI endures a record foreign outflow as AI-tech rally triggers profit-taking.
On 9 November 2025, South Korea’s main stock index KOSPI saw its largest ever weekly foreign investor sell-off of about ₩7.26 trillion (≈US$4.98 billion) in the first week of November.

The sell-off followed a rapid rally into semiconductor and AI-related stocks, which foreign investors began trimming as valuation worries mounted.

Companies such as Samsung Electronics and SK hynix accounted for over 70% of the foreign outflow, highlighting concentrated risk in Korea’s export-tech champions.
