Chipmaker Nexperia warns products from China may not meet standards
Nexperia says chips made in its Chinese facility after October 13 may not meet quality standards amid export-control and ownership issues.
Nexperia, the Dutch chipmaker majority-owned by China’s Wingtech, announced today that it cannot guarantee the quality or authenticity of chips made in China since October 13 following export-control and ownership disruptions. Nexperia cited challenges in its Chinese packaging facility amid a Dutch government takeover and U.S. export restrictions. The company said while most manufacturing outside China continues normally, the uncertainty has triggered concern among its global automotive and industrial customers about supply-chain integrity and component reliability.
