NTPC Green Energy to raise ₹1,500 crore via unsecured NCDs on November 11

NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) announced it will issue unsecured non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth ₹1,500 crore on November 11, 2025, to fund equipment purchases and capital-expenditure for renewable-energy projects. The NCDs, with a tenor of 10 years and one day, will carry a coupon rate of 7.01% per annum and will be listed on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). 

This marks the first board-approved borrowing under its April 2025 resolution and aligns with India’s broader push for green infrastructure investment amid growing demand for clean energy capacity.
