Global central banks nearing end of rate-cut cycle warns Reuters analysis
Major central banks are nearing the end of the rate-cut cycle, with advanced-economy institutions opting to pause policy easing amid sticky inflation and tight labour.
A  review of major central banks found that policy-rate cuts are approaching a limit in advanced economies as inflation remains sticky and labour markets tight. Among the institutions cited are the Bank of England (BoE) voting 5-4 to hold at 4% in early November, and many others delaying further easing. Economists say the Era of rapid rate reductions may be over, emphasising that future policy shifts will be data-driven and gradual.
The shift has implications for bond yields, equity valuations and global capital flows.
