India manufacturing PMI ticks up to 59.2 in October signalling expansion
India’s manufacturing PMI climbed to 59.
India’s manufacturing purchasing-managers’ index (PMI) rose to 59.2 in October from 57.7 in September, according to S&P Global data, reflecting strong growth in output and new orders. Employment increased for the 20th straight month, while input-cost inflation eased to its lowest in eight months despite firms passing on higher freight and labour costs.

The report suggests that the factory sector remains resilient amid global headwinds, supporting India’s wider economic momentum though some analysts caution that service-sector pace has slowed in contrast.
