The International Monetary Fund in its October 2025 World Economic Outlook reported that world GDP is projected to grow about 3.2 % in 2025 and 3.1 % in 2026—little changed from earlier forecasts—while advanced economies will grow around 1.5 % and emerging markets just above 4 %. The outlook remains cautious given inflation persistence, geopolitics and weak investment.
