India’s October GST collections rise 13% YoY to ₹1.82 lakh crore

India’s October GST collection rose 13% YoY to ₹1.
India’s gross GST revenue for October 2025 stood at ₹1.82 lakh crore, up 13 percent year-on-year and the third-highest monthly mop-up on record. Central and state shares came in at ₹33,904 crore and ₹34,412 crore respectively. The finance ministry attributed growth to improved compliance, higher consumption and e-invoice coverage. Analysts said collections signal resilience in domestic demand ahead of festival spending and support fiscal targets. Average monthly GST for FY26 now stands near ₹1.78 lakh crore, pointing to steady indirect-tax buoyancy despite moderation in global trade.
