India launches the ARISE up-skilling initiative targeting 2.
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has unveiled the “ARISE” (All India Retailers Initiative for Skilling & Entrepreneurship) programme aimed at up-skilling 2.5 million traders and retailers across India. The initiative will provide training in digital technology, financial management, consumer-behaviour analytics and modern retail operations, aligning with the Digital India agenda. CAIT vice-president Suresh Thakkar emphasised that the programme is intended to enhance competitiveness and self-reliance in India’s retail sector.
