Hang Seng Indexes and Cyberport Deploy Gen-AI in Index Calculations

Hang Seng Indexes Company (Hong Kong) and Cyberport have partnered to integrate generative-AI solutions into the index-calculation process for Hong Kong equities. Their first Gen-AI use-case introduces automated free-float adjusted factor (FAF) computations in major index families such as the Hang Seng Index and Hang Seng TECH Index. The integration aims to enhance data-processing efficiency, transparency and market innovation, signalling the growing use of Gen-AI in financial-markets infrastructure.
