AI startups captured over half of global venture capital funding in 2025-to-date

According to a recent report, artificial-intelligence startups accounted for about 51 % of total global venture capital funding in 2025 so far — the first time a single sector has dominated more than half of annual VC flows. The U.S. led the allocation, attracting 85 % of AI funding and 53 % of related deals.
