At the Global Startup Summit in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu’s IT Minister P. Thiaga Rajan announced that the state government will open anonymized datasets (18 crore records) from programs spanning agriculture, health, education, and traffic. These datasets will be accessible to startups and tech firms to train AI models securely. Officials identified 55 use cases across sectors to encourage innovation, governance efficiency, and better service delivery. Privacy safeguards will mask personally identifiable information.
