India-based chip startup Sophrosyne Technologies announced a US$2 million seed round led by Chennai-based VC firm Bluehill VC, targeting prototype-to-volume development of a biosensing system-on-chip (SoC) which integrates ECG, PPG, temperature and other signals in a low-power architecture. The funding will fuel engineering hires and early customer deployment in India and globally. Sophrosyne also secured a US$1.2 million government grant under the MeitY Design Linked Incentive scheme.
