Bengaluru-based food startup Kenko Life raised undisclosed seed capital from Rainmatter, Zerodha’s investment arm, to expand its health-first nutrition portfolio and distribution network across India. The funding will support R&D for functional foods targeting urban consumers seeking natural protein sources and gut health solutions. Founded in 2023 by nutritionists and entrepreneurs from IIM-Bangalore, Kenko plans to scale online sales channels and partner with modern trade retailers. Rainmatter previously backed several sustainability-driven ventures. The investment marks continued VC interest in India’s growing health and wellness FMCG segment.
