India’s equity-oriented mutual funds crossed an aggregate assets under management figure of Rs 50.83 lakh crore in October 2025, driven by steady retail SIP flows and digital investment channels. Monthly systematic investment plan contributions reached roughly Rs 29361 crore by September, up from around Rs 8500 crore in March 2020. The industry’s share in overall equity ownership climbed to a new high of 10.8. Asset management firms noted rising participation from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, while emphasising that sustaining inflows and maintaining performance amid valuation pressures will be key going forward.
