Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that rival advances from OpenAI and Anthropic have prompted accelerated deployment of AI features within Search and Gemini. From 2025 onward, Gemini 1.6 and 1.7 will ship quarterly updates to maintain leadership in multimodal AI. Google plans larger integration with Android and Workspace ecosystems by mid-2026.
